Introducing WAX: A Comprehensive Guide to the Worldwide Asset eXchange
Discover the power of WAX, the Worldwide Asset eXchange, a specialized blockchain platform designed for trading virtual items, rare collectibles, and assets within video games and virtual worlds.
With full compatibility with EOS smart contracts and offering free blockchain accounts and reduced fees, WAX provides a seamless environment for deploying your EOS/WAX dApps. In this course, we will walk you through the process of deploying your dApps on our local test network, transitioning to the WAX Testnet to interact with other contracts, including a blockchain Oracle for Random number generation, and the contract for Simple Assets to create NFTs. Finally, we will guide you through deploying your dApps to the WAX mainnet.
Throughout the course, we will be using C++ to write the contract. Although WAX contracts can be written in any language that compiles to WebAssembler, C++ is currently one of the most widely supported languages. Rest assured, even if you have a basic understanding of programming, you will be able to follow along with ease. Step-by-step guidance will be provided, explaining each command and making comparisons to more common languages like JavaScript or C#. Additionally, I will be available to assist students and answer any questions along the way.
Join us on this exciting journey into the world of WAX and unlock the potential of blockchain-based virtual item trading. Enroll now and gain the skills to thrive in this innovative domain!
